Mengon Legnami - for more than 60 years – A BIT OF OUR HISTORY...
The company was founded by Giovanni Pietro Mengon. He was born in Val di Rabbi (www.valdirabbi.com) Trentino in 1909, in a very poor family of 11 brothers and died in Castelleone in 1997.
Giovanni Pietro Mengon emigrated to Gemany with his wife Maria before World War II, working in a plantations of beets.

He returned to the country before the Second World War and became a farmer. 1947 Mr Mengon sold his animals and rent a Venetian water-sawmill to process timber.
Business was not going well. Around 1963 he moved to the Lowlands Pianura Padana and grounded the company Mengon Legnami.
The son-in-law, Pietro and later his children, Francesco, Roberta and Cristina joined the company and moved the business to the new factory in the actual location.
